Maintenance records
How to track watch maintenance dates and service history.
A service record helps a collector understand what was done, when it was done and which documents support the work. It is part of the watch’s history, not merely a reminder date.
Record each completed service
Useful fields include the service date, provider, work performed, replaced components, cost, condition notes and attached invoice or service report. Keep factual records rather than relying on memory.
Preserve supporting documents
Invoices, service-center reports, photographs and warranty information provide context for future maintenance, resale, valuation or insurance discussions.
Track the next relevant date
Collectors may record a future review or maintenance date based on the manufacturer’s guidance, the service provider’s recommendation and the way the watch is used. H4icons does not replace professional watchmaking advice.
Keep service data private
Service history can be useful in a private record without being included in every shared card. H4icons is designed to let the collector choose which details are presented.
